FAQ

No — testnet only. FOXSY on testnet has no real-world value. The faucet gives you starter balance for free. You’re playing with on-chain assets, but the chain is a test network.

A wallet helps (xPortal works on phone, takes 2 minutes). You don’t need to understand smart contracts — the in-game UI hides the blockchain mechanics.

MultiversX testnet today. Mainnet is on the roadmap.

Rarity sets the ceiling. A Common can never exceed 50 in any stat, regardless of training. To break the cap, fuse them into a higher rarity.

Yes. Open the Player Profile modal, click Edit Name & Number. Name 1-30 chars, number 1-99.

No. You must sync first. The marketplace shows on-chain stats to buyers, so listing dirty would be misleading.

What happens to a player’s XP when I sell them?

Section titled “What happens to a player’s XP when I sell them?”

The buyer inherits your training (XP buckets stay with the player NFT). They paid for that player’s progress.

  • Are your players synced? Matches read on-chain — check the Sync banner on Squad.
  • Did your players have low condition? Players below 30 don’t even start.
  • Is your formation right for your roster? A 4-3-3 with weak forwards underperforms a 4-4-2 with the same players.
  • Sim is instant on the server (~1 second)
  • Playback in FoxViewer is real-time (~5-7 minutes for a 90-min match at 1x speed)
  • Click PLAY IN BACKGROUND to skip the playback — match continues server-side

No. On-chain.

Whenever the boost on the Squad banner is significant enough that you want it in your next match. There’s no penalty for syncing rarely; you just play with whatever was last synced.

It writes to the blockchain — that costs gas. The 6-10 FOXSY/player covers that gas plus a small fee.

Yes. Open their Player Profile, click Sync to Chain — 10 FOXSY. Or use Sync All on Squad to batch them with the volume discount.

You’re not charged. Try again. If it keeps failing, MultiversX testnet may be having issues — check https://testnet-explorer.multiversx.com/ for status.

  • Did you sync the player first? Dirty players can’t be listed.
  • Did you set a price > 0?
  • Refresh the Marketplace tab — the indexer can take ~30 seconds to pick up new listings.

Try clearing all filters (search box, position, rarity, OVR range). Some filter combos return zero rows naturally.

Yes. Open Marketplace → Sell, find your active listings, click Cancel. The player returns to your roster, no fees.

Each transaction needs your approval. Mint, train, sync, list, buy — each is a separate signature. Some flows (like Sync All) batch multiple actions into one signature.

Yes — Ledger via the MultiversX bridge. Slower than xPortal but most secure.
